PBX Templates #
Master Accounts #
When creating a PBX Template it is important to use a master API key which will provide ~.Dimensions.~ with the ability to monitor all customer accounts on which the template will be used.
Providing a master key also allows ~.Dimensions.~ to use a single connection (where applicable) to the PBX to monitor data for multiple customers. This will help to reduce the load on the PBX, especially when there are a large number of customers involved.
note
If a master key is not provided to the template then ~.Dimensions.~ will not be able to query the required information for the customer when their account is provisioned.
Supported Connections #
The table below lists the available PBX connection types. Follow the 'Config' link to view the configuration information required for a specific type:
Type | Description | Configuration Information |
---|---|---|
~.pbx.kazoo.name.~ | A connection for ~.pbx.kazoo.name.~ communications platform. | Config |
3CX | A connection for 3CX communications platform. | Config |
Teams | A connection for Microsoft Teams communications platform. | Config |
Default Connections #
When configuring a PBX Template, one of the optional parameters is whether to make the connection 'Default' or not. If a default template is configured, it will automatically be used when creating any new customer tenant, without the user having to select a template during the customer creation process.
If no default template is configured, a specific template must be selected by the user when creating new customer accounts.
note
Only one template can be made default, making a new template default will remove the default option from the previous default template.
